Disney acquires Pixar.Well, that is not necessarily a evil deed. In the way i sees it, it's somehow similar like Autodesk buying Alias. theoratically, what Disney wants is Pixar's outstanding ability of storytelling and the crews behind that, while Pixar need Disney's marketing ability to help them sell their dreams. As long as the old stubborn hands don't go interfere the inner management of it's creative production, mutter over their ears, nor stir the water at will, then, basically it's a win-win situation. That's how bisness man run their bisness la. Alas~~
Actually, after this transaction, Steve Jobs would be the HIGHEST share holder within Disney, this means he'll have the most say about how the company should be run [unless other major board memebers gang up against him]
I think this will actually be a good change. I really enjoyed chicken little [animation anyways, the Eyes and the Big Voice was..er..yeah]
Pixar now combines with animation's creator, Disney will have basically unlimited resources to do w/e they want. I dun know what to think about having John Lassater as the head of the Animation Devision though, he seems more like a manager than a great director [GET BRAD BIRD :D]

IMO, Pixar 已過了需要打名氣的時代了, Disney 老舊不變的手腕從最近出片的反應來看就知道已經不比昔日風光了. 而 Pixar 只有往上爬的趨勢.. 脫離了跟 Disney的合作關係更可以增不同的風格... (說實在的... Cars 要不是 Pixar 製作的有誰會想要去看阿)
總而言之... Steve Jobs 這愛錢的 ^"^

marketing是很重要的。例如ghibli沒有Diney幫忙marketing的話，基本上要打入美國市場也很難的。
